Data Recovery is the process of salvaging data from damaged, failed, corrupted or inaccessible primary storage media when it cannot be accessed normally. Often the data is being salvaged from storage media formats such as the hard disk drive, storage tapes, CDs, DVDs, RAID Arrays and other electronics ie, USB Flash Memory Devices. This can be due to physical damage to the storage device or logical damage to the file system that prevents it from being mounted by the host operating system. Although there is some confusion as to the term, data recovery can also be the process of retrieving and securing deleted information from a storage media for forensic purposes.

Hard Disk

Data loss or corruption can be caused by a number of factors including:

  • Power related problems

  • Hardware failure

  • Virus damage

  • Software corruption

  • Human error

Firstly Don't Panic! We can recover lost or deleted data, however the use of disk tools such as scan disk etc, that are built into the operating system should not be attempted and may hinder any recovery attempts, its far safer to leave it as it is and let us evaluate it first. We have a wealth of experience in recovering data from all storage media devices. Some forms of mechanical repair we cannot undertake, however our friends at Ontrack will gladly repair/recover your data in these cases. We support the storage devices listed below.
